Nauvoo Tours and Anxiously Engaged presents a two part DVD series that was developed from years of research, firesides and tours of historic Nauvoo and Carthage, Illinois. These “digital firesides” contain expanded explanations of scriptural and historical source material that is prohibitive in live presentations due to time constraints.

Many Latter-Day Saints have said that the presentations paint a fresh and enlightening picture of the life and history of the prophet Joseph Smith and the early church. Others have expressed amazement that they knew so little of the history covered. There is definitely something for everybody. The information presented in the first video called “Prophets” lays the foundation with the life and death of Jospeh Smith, the prophesied seer that would usher in the dispensation of the fulness of times. With that necessary foundation laid, you are prepared to see “Prophecies,” the second DVD of the series.

People are delightfully surprised to see many familiar prophecies in a new light, as well as some not so familiar prophecies and their fulfilment in early LDS church history. The scriptures are full of examples of ancient saints either not comprehending or completely forgetting the great and miraculous things that God had done for them over the generations. My goal with these digital firesides is to strengthen this generation of Saints, children and adults, with knowledge of pertinent prophecies that link our immediate history with the scriptures so that we will not forget the great things God has done for us.
